Soledad O’Brien - On Bias
In the Summer 2019, with EF Education First, I was tasked to film and edit an interview with Soledad O’Brien at EF’s 2019 Summit in New York. After Soledad’s interview, my producer Brian Lemieux and myself realized by her thoughtful answers and well thought out anecdotes on scenarios of bias, this was the best time to push a infographic style to an interview. With the help of the writers, designers, illustrators and producers we at EF made a video that is both informative and educational without seeming forced on the person viewing it.
Behind the scenes
Working closely with designer Clary Huang, we came up with a style guide, animation treatments, color treatments, and a physics template on the characters and objects she designed. Utilizing animatics to time everything out and AE rigs to build very complex animations, we were able to let this piece really breath.
