Transit Theater

While in photo school something drew me to the bus stops all around Boston. Late at night after leaving school I would jump on the bus and be wisped away for an hour in my imagination. The lone top light, the centered bench, and the fall off into darkness replicated a sort of public stage as we would drive by bus stop after bus stop. The numerous storylines I would fabricate in my head as I would see people waiting soon led to me figuring out a 9 tiled grid storyline all playing out one night in Boston. Very much inspired by HBO’s voyeur project, these 9 stories were timed to the minute in order for each story to interact with the others.
